Additional Coach Guidance:
- All coaches and players will be screened upon arrival to practices and games. Each team has been provided a contactless thermometer and will be taking temperatures. Temperatures must be below 100.4 F to participate. Additionally coaches will ask players the following screening questions.
- Have you been in close contact with a person who has COVID-19?
- Do you feel unwell with any symptoms consistent with COVID-19 that are not associated with any underlying medical condition or medication use? For example, have they had fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, congestion or runny nose, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea?
- Have you complied with Agency of Commerce and Community Development (ACCD) and Department of Health guidance around multi-household gatherings and travel-related testing policies which include the following
- Unvaccinated Vermonters who have traveled outside the state must be tested within 3 days of returning to Vermont.
- The test you get must be for a current infection (like a PCR test), except it cannot be an antigen test (also known as a rapid test).
- Find free and fast testing near you.
- You do not need to quarantine while you wait for a result. But if you have any symptoms, stay home and away from other people.
- Quarantining does not exempt you from the testing requirement. You may choose to quarantine, but are still required to get a test when you return to Vermont.
- Parents/Guardians - If you child is experiencing a temperature over 100.4 F or does not meet the screening questions please do not bring them to practices or games. For U8 and U10 players, 1 parent or guardian may accompany the player to the practice space for their screening. U12, U14 and U16 players, parents/guardians should drop their players off and not enter the practice area to help minimize the number of people gathering.
Mask are Required:
- Masks / cloth face coverings to be worn at all times, including during practices, scrimmages, games, meets, and competitions. Individuals failing to properly mask should be asked to comply or directed to immediately leave the activity or facility. If an individual fails to properly mask, the facility or the State of Vermont may suspend the team’s practices or games indefinitely.
- Anyone with a documented medical or behavioral reason for not wearing a facial covering shall not be required to wear one.
Return to Play After COVID-19 diagnosis:
- All children and adolescents (ages 12- 22) diagnosed with COVID-19 infection, regardless of symptom severity, may not return to play until asymptomatic for at least 14 days. Before returning to play, children and adolescents with COVID-19 infection must be seen and cleared by their primary care physician after illness resolves. Children/youth who meet clinical criteria will need to undergo the graduated Return-to-Play protocol overseen and monitored by the patient, their family and their health care provider. Children less than 12 years old can return to activity as tolerated after medical clearance by their primary care physician.
Additional Player/Parent Guidance:
- Please do not congregate before and after practices and games.
- If you are a parent/guardian watching:
- A practice please do so from the edge of the complex and not the direct sideline. Please wear a mask and maintain social distancing between households.
- A game please stand back from the sideline. Please wear a mask and maintain social distancing between households. Please avoid crossing or passing through other playing fields and spectator areas when arriving at the game.
- Players please bring plenty of your own water. We will not provide team water and water bottles should not be shared among players.
- Please try to minimize carpooling to games and practices as you are able.
